A number of happy Jump Jet owners have posted
videos on YouTube. These are some we have found. If you find any
others, or if you post one yourself, please
let us know.
The Jump Jet fitted with the Harrier profile kit
is great. Great as in good fun to fly, great as in it has no helicopter
rotors with which to ding the furniture, great as it looks more
like a hovering Harrier than anything so far and great as in it
is easier to hover than a helicopter. By the way this latter attribute
reflects full size life thanks to the independent way the Harrier
controls work compared to those on choppers. I know the model
does not use Harrier principles of jet lift and reaction controls
(hardly to be expected at the price) but for anybody smitten with
the hovering bug who does not want to use, see or feel those dangerous
rotating things, it is the only game in town and highly recommended
John Farley
is a highly respected former test pilot who flew all variants of
the Harrier family. After time as a flying instructor at Cranwell,
he joined the Empire Test Pilots School at RAE Bedford. As project
test pilot on the P1127 in 1964, he started what was to become 19
years of Harrier test flying. In his career he has flown over 80
types of aircraft and in 1990 became the first western pilot invited
to fly the Russian Mig-29.

Hi all,
I orderd 1 jump jet, spare propellers and two extra body parts.
All came nicely boxed all the goods inside. Came in mode 2 that
I wanted.
I already did my first flight in the living room and all I can
say is WOW,WOW and another big WOW!!! The thing flies so nice, so
quiet and precise. The flight lasted 5 min average. No crash no
glitches and so smooth. It flies like a heli but easier. I have
7 years on rc helicopters from i.c.powered to electric. Anyway I
think so far its my best rc product I ever owned since I was 9 years
old.
Who ever is thinking of buying the jump jet trust me you won't
regret it.
Update on my jump jet after 24h of ownership and about 10-11 flights.
I love this little gadget, no problems yet, everthing is working
perfect. Its just to fun to fly. I'm thinking of getting another
one to have for backup. Also put a vid on YouTube.
Thanks again, John from Greece.

G'day,
The charger arrived today and works a treat.
I'm on flight 4 and everything is working
properly. Flight control is fantastic.
I am so impressed with my rolling takeoffs
from my coffee table. Sitting from behind you swear it's the real
thing. Might have to make a cardboard kicker for the end of the
table. He he.
I have been waiting for a lounge flyer
like this to evolve for a very long time, and I can't wait for
the ufo to be released.
Thank you so much for your professionalism
and your personal attention to the problem with the charger. Now
if you will excuse me. I'm off on another sortie on the Falklands.
Cheers,
Dean H (Australia)

I want to congratulate you on developing an excellent product!
I’ve built and flown larger quadrotors for years now but none
have been as much fun as flying this little beast around the house!
After having a few crashes and damaging the foam body I decided
to remove it (which I now notice you mention in your FAQ), and
I am much happier with its compactness and responsiveness! I uploaded
a video of my stripped naked Jump Jet dancing around my kitchen
table.
I also wrote this review:-
The recently released Jump Jet designed by Snelflight and manufactured
by Alien Air is claimed to be "The World's Best Minature Jump
Jet", and after owning one for a week, I would have to strongly
agree! I would even extend that to being the best miniature indoor
flying toy on the market! It is excellent value considering it
can hover very stably with 3-axis rate damping and is very controllable
with 4 channel controls, making it much more fun and agile than
the 2 or 3 channel micro helis out there.
Although the aircraft body panels look cool, they're relatively
flimsy and get damaged pretty easily. Nevertheless, I experimented
with stripping off the body work and found that it flies even
better! Without the body work, it has less drag allowing faster
maneuvers, it's more compact for negotiating hallways and furniture,
and with the 10g weight saving it has a faster climb rate and
longer endurance!
A warning though, this modification will no doubt void your warranty
and it also makes the throttle/climb a little touchier. Therefore
I'd recommend you test fly it with the body on first to make sure
everything works out of the box and to practice flying it. Nevertheless,
apart from the body panels, this toy has proven to be very durable!
The only spares you may eventually need are some more props (comes
with 8), but you can avoid breaking them by making sure you cut
the throttle right before any collisions.
The body support arms can be cut off with a stanley knife, and
I left the front support arm on to help indicate which way is
forward. However this could just as easily be achieved with painting
the front or rear motor support arm, housing, and/or prop shroud.
The prop shrouds can also be removed to save a further 5g, however
the performance improvement is negligible compared to the comfort
you get from having them on. Not to mention the props you're likely
to save with them.
This toy best compliments watching commercial TV, because you
can have it on charge while you watch your show, then fly it around
the living room during the add breaks! I hope you enjoy this video
of my Jump Jet stripped naked table dancing (pun intended). As
you can see, it is very agile, and can handle a good prang too!
I highly recommend it!
